Wanderlust part 22 "Momentos"

Morning, all. Busy day that seems packed full of nothing, but packed nonetheless. Installment 22 is below and I have to say, pretty soon (if this thing follows the long meandering path in my mind) we get to find out a little more about the creamy caramel center of Mr. Johnny Rose.

Happy hump day, y'all.

XOXO

  1. Every. Single. Time. You blow me away with a new twist. Well done!

And I'm loving the little details, like the song playing on the radio, and the laminated menus in the diner. Evokes fond memories of road trips past.

  2. WHAT'S IN THE GODDAMN BOX, JOHNNY!!! *ahem* Sorry, he's driving me nuts! I feel like Brad Pitt in SE7EN.

  3. Jeeze, don't give her ideas! It's not like Se7en. Heh, that would be amusing though.

'It's a head, Really, a severed head. Do you want to go home now?'

    '...No...'

    Lie.

    teehee!

I love their moods and conflicting behaviour. It's very entertaining.

  7. How did your burger go, btw? Any fallout?

  8. from a few weeks ago? the burger on a bun? yes, fallout. regardless of extensive testing results, wheat is not kind to me. i just try to avoid it on principle now. not sure if i want to go forward with painful expensive biopsy. what's the point, anyway. confirm what my body's telling me anyway? lol

  9. I only checked back now. I read up on biopsy experiences and it seems really varied. They give you rohypnol :(

Those who did it drug free had a pretty unpleasant time, and I was horrified to read how (in Ireland) disparate private and public patients' experiences are - I mean, with the same surgeons! Bastards.

Here there is (well, was at least) a grant towards the cost of GF food if you got a positive biopsy result. It's a gamble though, I think. I'd say just go ahead your own way if you don't have anything to gain from the biopsy.

  10. yep. that's what i'm doing. i treat myself as if I have celiac b/c I believe i do. i give every indication and have all the classic and some of the non-classic including severe mood swings when I eat wheat.

I don't need a certificat or anything to authenticate me! lol. and false negatives are very common. so...whatever. I just shun the wheat 98% of the time. but it is good to know I will not drop dead should i eat it by accident. :)
