Good morning! And yes, the only reason I am so chipper is because it's Friday! And I do not have to get up in the dark and cold tomorrow. Woohoo!
Down to business. The winner of yesterday's prize from Victoria Blisse is Keisha. Keisha, VB will be in contact shortly. Thanks everyone for commenting and you've all been (well, your names have been) tossed in the goblet for the $50 Amazon grand prize.
Today I have KD Grace. One of the Brit Babes and one talented-ass writer. She also gardens and does super long walks and travels for research and...*gasp*. I think I might want to be her when I grow up. My gardens often go full-mutiny within a week or two of planting. You can check out her blog and keep up with her busy ways and definitely read her super sexy books.
I admit I've only been scanning my birthday helpers' blogs because there are so many. So this morning when I posted and read this, I got a good chuckle. I think you'll like it!!
KD is offering up a copy of her Best of KD Grace: Gracefully Aroused. *Please be sure to leave your email address (yes, even if I know you. Saves me a lot of time looking you up) so you have a shot at winning. Good luck!
The Mount Vegas Team Help Sommer Celebrate
It’s four A.M. in the suite at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas when I meet Elsa Crane and Nick Chase,Fulfilling the Contract who are just finishing up their Mount Vegas duties for the night. Elsa is still dressed in her leopard print loincloth and halter-top and Nick is in a rumpled-looking tux with his shirt untucked. I stifle a yawn as Nick hands both me and Elsa a cold bottle of Black Canyon Stout from the fridge and grabs one for himself.
Elsa: Have a seat, K D (Elsa nods me into the sitting room with its fab view of Vegas at Night just as the fountains at the Bellagio erupt in their regularly scheduled dance. We watch for a moment, then she drops onto the sofa next to Nick and I take the cushy chair across from them)
KD: How’d the fantasy for Mrs Bromley go? Pike said it was something about naked men bathing in the fountain in front of the Bellagio? (I nod to the open door of the balcony)
Nick: She loved it. Deke and Horse. She loves Horse. She’s a fan of men with big …
Elsa: (interrupts strategically) We’re not here to discuss the size of Horse’s assets.
KD: I don’t mind. Really I don’t.
Nick: (Gives me a wicked grin and Elsa glares at him)
KD: So why am I here?
Elsa: (slips out of her sandals and curls her feet up under her) It’s Sommer Marsden’s big 9th Birthday Celebration, and nine years of writing sizzling erotic romance is definitely worth a party. (She looks at Nick, who nods his agreement)
Nick: (Clears his throat and fidgets slightly on the couch) Truth is all of us guys are huge Sommer Marsden fans. I mean that chick is hot, and man can she write. (Glances over at Elsa) What? Can’t guys read good erotica too? (Turns his attention back to me) Actually everyone at Mount Vegas loves Sommer Marsden. Just yesterday I caught Kandi reading Restless Spirit when she was supposed to be setting up the scopes.
Elsa: Anyway, we thought maybe to help her celebrate, Mount Vegas could put together one of our voyeuristic fantasies for her. What do you think?
KD: That sounds great, but Sommer lives a long way from Las Vegas.
Elsa: Not a problem. I’ve already talked to Rita Holly about using the jet. At Sommer’s convenience, of course.
Nick: And I’ll personally pick her up at the airport in my best limo. Even a nice hotel, well that’s all sorted. We were just wondering if you know what kind of sexy scene Sommer would like to watch? (Leans forward on sofa looking very serious) Do you think she’d like Horse and Deke in the fountain? A billionaire/virgin fantasy? Maybe something paranormal? Beetle makes a fantastic vampire, and Pagan was born to be a werewolf.
KD: Sommer’s work is so varied and so creative, it’s hard to know what would really appeal to her.
Elsa: Pike’s a huge fan. He’s hoping Sommer might like to watch something in the dungeon, and Tanya would love to be his sub. Trouble is we don’t know what she’d like.
KD: Don’t you have forms your clients fill out?
Elsa: (Looks at me like I have two heads) Of course not! Our relationship with our clients is much more personal than that. The clients Skype with either Pike or me and we work out the deets over a glass of wine or two. Some of them even fly in to plan face to face. However long it takes it takes because when our clients get into their hotel suites, we want to make sure what they see through the scope is their hottest fantasy come true.
Nick: (Leans forward again. His eyes are bright with excitement) Okay, so at the risk of sounding like the fan boy I am, do you think maybe she’d like a hot scene in a limo, because I SO be up for that.
Elsa: (Glares at him) We all know how sexy things you can do in a limo, but limos may not be Sommer’s thing.
KD: Why don’t you send Sommer an example of the kind of work you do. That’ll give her some ideas of what she might want. But I have to warn you, the woman’s really creative. Whatever she watches through a Mount Vegas scope just might end up in her next novel.
Elsa: (Rubs her hands together and practically bounces off the sofa. In all honesty, I’ve never seen Elsa Crane bounce before) Oh that would be amazing, if one of our fantasies ended up in a Sommer Marsden novel. Rita Holly and the Mount in London would be so jealous.
Nick: What are you doing for Sommer’s Birthday Celebration, KD? I know you promised a blog post.
KD: Well, nothing so elaborate as a voyeuristic fantasy in Sin City, but I’ve agreed to give away a copy of Gracefully Aroused: The Best of K D Grace
Elsa: Sounds like the month of March is going to be totally naughty fun over on Sommer’s blog. With all of the hot erotica writers who’ll be stopping in for the party, we’re definitely going to be checking in for Mount Vegas fantasy ideas.
(Her BlackBerry rings and she picks up) Yup. We’ll be there in twenty. (disconnects.) That’s Pike. The fantasy on Lake Mead’s gonna take some extra set up and an early start. We don’t often have daytime fantasies, but Mr. Dean is an outdoorsy sort of guy, so we’ve gotta go, KD. We figured you’d be jetlagged so we’ve booked you in for the weekend. Mount Vegas’ treat, of course.
(They both give me a quick hug, and I wave good-buy and head for the seriously comfy-looking bed)
Fulfilling the Contract Blurb:
Limo driver, NICK CHASE’s bad night gets worse when he picks up TANYA POVIC at a bar only to discover the explosive sex they share lands her in breach of her very strange contract. Blaming himself that Tanya will lose the large completion bonus earmarked for her mother’s surgery, Nick negotiates with her boss, the tough and mysterious ELSA CRANE, to allow him to fulfill Tanya’s contract and secure her bonus.
Elsa runs Mount Vegas, which offers voyeuristic pleasures for a price. Nick’s job, with Elsa and her quirky team, is to give clients something worth watching through the plate glass windows of Vegas’s luxury hotels and beyond. The learning curve is steep and kinky. As Nick and Elsa’s relationship sizzles and ignites more than hotel room rendezvouses are exposed. In this sequel to The Initiation of Ms Holly things get positively dangerous as Rita Holly and her team are called in from London to lend a helping hand. Bets are being placed. Will Nick fulfill the contract? Will he and Elsa take the gamble? And will they find a way to win at the high stakes, double or nothing, game of hearts?
Fulfilling the Contract Excerpt:
Elsa tossed the headset back onto the dressing table and rubbed the back of her neck. ‘Mr Chase, unless you want to fulfil Tanya’s contract for her, this conversation is over. It’s been a long day, and I’ve had enough. Pagan will escort the two of you back downstairs and since Tanya no longer works for me, I don’t care if you fuck her brains out. Now if you’d –’
‘Alright,’ Nick interrupted. ‘I will.’
Suddenly all eyes were on him. ‘Tell me what to do and I’ll fulfil the contract for her.
After all, it’s my fault she’s in breach.’
Tanya gave a little yelp that sounded like a kitten in distress and Elsa laughed out loud. ‘Mr Chase, you don’t even know what Tanya’s contract involves.’
‘I assume it has something to do with what’s going on in room 2031. It’s not prostitution is it?’
‘No! No, is not prostitution,’ Tanya said, the excitement nearly vibration through her voice. ‘Is nothing like that.’
‘Well actually it’s something like that,’ Elsa corrected. ‘My people get paid for sex.’
‘I don’t understand,’ Nick said.’
She nodded him over to one of the scopes set up at the bedroom window. When he balked, she nodded again. ‘Go ahead; check out what’s going on in room 2031.’
Nick nearly knocked the scope out of focus at his first view of the naked ass of a man pistoning his cock into a woman bent over a big bed. Her head was buried between the legs of another woman, who was pinching her own nipples for all she was worth and writhing beneath the serious tongue action.
‘Then they are prostitutes.’ Nick’s voice was suddenly a whisper, as though he feared he might disturb the people he viewed through the scope.
‘No.’ Elsa leaned close to him as though she could see over his shoulder. ‘They all work for me, and they get paid a lot of money to have sex with each other while someone else watches.’
With difficulty, Nick took his eyes off what was going on in the scope. He suddenly felt dizzy. ‘Let me get this straight, these people –’ he nodded around the room ‘– All of these people and those –’ he pointed to the scope ‘—have sex with each other and people pay money to watch.’
Elsa nodded ‘A lot of money.’
‘And that’s what Tanya was doing? That’s what the contract’s about, having sex and letting people watch?’
‘That’s what the contract’s about,’ Elsa said. With a smirk, she pulled Tanya’s red panties out of Nick’s pocket where he’d forgotten he’d stuffed after he’d picked them up from the parking lot at the Mango. She handed them back to Tanya and replaced them with a black business card, briskly patting his pocket as she did so. ‘I know how much you loath your job, Mr Chase, and I can almost guarantee you’d find what Tanya does a lot more satisfying. But –’ she ran a hand down and gave his crotch a quick grope ‘– It takes some serious balls.’
He elbowed her away and shoved past Tanya and Pagan. ‘You people are all crazy if you think I would … if you think I might …’
Elsa offered him a smile that he felt, much to his discomfort, right down between his legs. Then she lifted an eyebrow and gave a shrug that made the dark gloss of her hair shimmer in the subdued lighting. ‘You asked.’
